As well as acting as an agent for buyers and sellers of schools and nurseries in the United Kingdom National SchoolTransfer also transfers schools overseas. There are usually a number of schools overseas on our seller register.

The market for schools within the British Isles has opened up considerably in the past few years. Now, with many more educationally-qualified British nationals having decided to seek opportunities abroad, enamoured of the prospect of running a school in a kinder climate than the UK offers, we expect the marketplace for schools overseas to see a similar increase in opportunities.

BUYING AND SELLING SCHOOLS WORLDWIDE

SELLERS
The proprietors of schools anywhere in the world who wish to retire and have no organised exit strategy should consider contacting us to see if we have any buyers on our register who would like to take over from them. This is particularly true of English-language schools or UK curriculum schools abroad. If it is feasible then we would attempt to visit you at the school in order to help us to write up our assessment of the school: if not then we would seek your assistance in creating an objective assessment for our buyers. The procedures will, of course, differ from country to country but please complete the registration form and send it to us and we will be in touch. There are two options for this:

Option 1 – ‘Visit by NST’ One of NST’s team visits the school and prepares an assessment. The expenses of travel and accommodation are met by the school.

Option 2 – ‘Self Assessment’ The detailed assessment is written by the proprietor and the detail agreed with NST. We do not visit the school.
